About the books
Madam Samurai is a two-volume historical adventure story that tells the tale of a young female samurai warrior who travels from feudal Japan to Victorian London on a mission of vengeance. The story was inspired by the true tale of the Choshu Five, samurai warriors who secretly travelled to Victorian London to study at University College London.
About the creators
The story is based on an original idea by producer / creator Gael McLaughlin. The books are written by screenwriter Gary Young (Harry Brown) and Eagle Award winning artist David Hitchcock (Spring Heeled Jack).
